Opus Dei for some reason is the most miss-understood institution or ministry under the Catholic Church, but put simply Opus Dei means "Work of God". Its mission is to proclaim that with any type of work that we do as lay people is that it can be sanctified or holy, and that we are all called live Holy lives.; This message is nothing new from the Catholic Church but the difference is that Opus Dei truly focuses on this concept of spirituality. They have dedicated single and married laypeople and priests that are part of Opus Dei as members that offer recollections, retreats, circles and spiritual direction, and have youth activities.; They have centers around the world and at nearby locations some of the biggest universities.
I'm not a member of Opus Dei but a "Cooperator" which is just I donate financially what I can and offer my prayers for the cause of Opus Dei.; I have some of my retreat notes in my Reflections Downloads section and highly recommend attend their recollections, circles or retreats.
